Cloud Tags

Cloud Tags

On your profile page, you will notice at the bottom, underneath the galleries, there is a section called "Cloud Tags".  This section is where any keywords that are added to the Primary Subject logging field in Cliplog will appear as links.   For guidelines on how to log the Primary Subject field, please see the link below:

On your Contributor Profile, if someone were to click on one of your Cloud Tag links that are generated by keywords added to the Primary Subject field of your clips, it would take them to a search page containing all of your clips logged with that keyword.  For example, if you log footage in Cliplog with the keyword "Australian fur seal" in the Primary Subject field, like so:

The keyword "Australian fur seal" will show up as a Cloud tag link on your profile (highlighted in yellow below), and clicking on it will take you to a search page containing all of your clips that are logged with the keyword "Australian fur seal".

Cloud tag links containing more clips will appear in larger text than links with smaller text.  In the example below, compare the size of the "Australian fur seal" link to the smaller "Bison" link, which means that this contributor has uploaded more Australian fur seal clips than Bison clips.

The "view all tags" link just above your tags will expand your Cloud tags section to show all tags listed on your profile.  Clicking on "view all tags" again will collapse the Cloud tags section.

This feature is useful to clients who are looking for all of your footage for one particular subject, and since any keyword added to the Primary Subject field will show up as a tag on your profile page, it is important to keep your cloud tag section as clean and uncluttered as possible.  Only add common names or general names for species, locations, etc. to the Primary Subject field when logging (i.e. "Giant Panda", "Yosemite", "Surfer", etc.).  Any other descriptive keywords should be added to the other logging fields in Cliplog.
