Creating Clipbins

Creating Clipbins

Clipbins can be used to log your footage, organize your footage, create galleries for your Profile page, or create sequences to link clips with similar subjects together on the NatureFootage site.

For instructions on how to turn your Clipbins into Galleries or Sequences or organize your Clipbins into Folders, please see the help articles below:

Please note - it is not necessary to create a Clipbin to log your footage.  You can certainly log footage contained in a Clipbin if you wish; for example, you could add footage of the same subject that was uploaded in different submissions to a Clipbin so yo can log clips of that subject all at the same time, but it is not required.

CREATING A CLIPBIN

1) To create a Clipbin, go to the Clipbins panel on the left side of the page and click on the "New Clipbin" icon:

2) A text box will appear; type in a name for your Clipbin and click on the "Create" button:

3) Your new Clipbin will appear in the Clipbins panel (you may have to refresh the page in order for it to appear):

4) To Delete or Rename your Clipbin, click on the gear icon next to your Clipbin and choose either "Delete Clipbin" or "Rename Clipbin":

ADDING CLIPS TO A CLIPBIN

1) To add Clips to your clipbin, you will first need to make the Clipbin active.  To do so, click on the gear icon next to your Clipbin and select the "Make Active" option:

2) Now you are ready to add clips to your bin:

3) There are a couple ways to add clips to your bin:
A. You can select single clips or multiple clips by hovering your mouse arrow over the clips you would like to add to the bin and clicking on the white checkbox on the upper right corner of the clip thumbnail frame; selected clips will be highlighted in green.

B. You can also click the "Select All" button, if you want to add all clips on the page to your Clipbin.  Please keep in mind that if you are adding a large amount of clips to your bin at the same time, it may take a few minutes for Cliplog to finish adding the clips to your bin.

4) Once you've selected your clips, you can drag and drop them into the active Clipbin in the Clipbin panel, or you can choose the "Add to Clipbin" option from the Actions menu:

5) You can also mouse over a clip and click on the "Add to Clipbin" icon, located in the Clip Toolbar:

REMOVING CLIPS FROM A CLIPBIN

There are two ways to remove clips from a Clipbin:

      1) The first way you can remove clips from your Clipbin is by hovering your mouse arrow over a clip that is saved to the active Clipbin and click on the "Remove from Clipbin" icon located on the Clip Toolbar:

      2) The second way you can remove clips from your Clipbin is by using the "Remove Selected From Current Clipbin" option in the Actions menu.

A. First, you will need to make the Clipbin you want to remove clips from active, just like you would if your were to add clips to a clipbin.

B. Then, select the clips you would like to remove from the active clipbin.  You can select single clips or multiple clips by hovering your mouse arrow over the clips you would like to remove from the bin and clicking on the white checkbox on the upper right corner of the clip thumbnail frame (selected clips will be highlighted in green).  You can also click the "Select All" button, if you want to remove all clips on the page from your Clipbin.

C.
Once you've selected your clips, choose the "Remove Selected From Current Clipbin" option from the Actions menu.
