Any edited videos submitted must fit in the category of video decor, which on our site is referred to as NatureFlix. Video Decor is beautifully crafted edited segments that can be looped on a screen (with or without audio). Examples include a montage of scenics (e.g. beaches), exciting animal behavior (e.g. bird mating display), an animal species highlight (e.g. mountain lion), or a habitat highlight (e.g. rain forest). Please click on the link below to see the kind of edited content we accept into our collection:
We recommend only the top quality Ultra HD formats (HD formats are accepted on a case-by-case basis). Your edited video submission media should have NO visible timecode, titles, or watermarks, and should be assembled in a way that ensures no, or minimal, loss of quality. Audio is optional, and must be fully cleared for unlimited distribution.
When you upload edited video decor clips to your NatureFootage account, please inform the NatureFootage staff at
contributors@naturefootage.com so that they can move your edited clip into the NatureFlix collection. Please include the Cliplog code (i.e. BG150204_0002, HH160107_0001, etc.) associated with the edited clip in your email so it is easy for our staff members to find the clip.
Please note that the vast majority of our clients prefer to purchase clips containing a single shot over edited videos containing multiple shots, so we recommend that you also upload the shots in your edited video to your NatureFootage account as single shot clips. For example, this contributor uploaded an edited coral time lapse video:
And then also uploaded all of the shots in the video as individual clips:
