Maximize Your Sales!

Maximize Your Sales!

There are several steps you can take to help maximize your sales.

1. Upload unique and high quality content
To keep your collection relevant for content producers and their stories (i.e. documentary television, educational exhibits, corporate presentations, advertising, feature films, etc.), it is important to ensure the quality and content of your footage is both unique and as high a resolution as possible.  Currently, the industry trend is leaning towards 4K delivery.  Submit your footage in 4K+ resolution, and upload it to Cliplog as soon as possible after it's filmed.

2. Keywords, keywords, keywords
It is not enough to just upload your footage to Cliplog.  In order for clients to find your content, it is required that you log your clips.  Logging your footage as thoroughly as possible is essential in getting your content found on NatureFootage when anyone is searching the site.  Always be sure to give a good Description, fill out all required fields and add as many synonyms to keywords that you can think of.  Latin names of animals are also great to include, and as much information regarding location is always helpful! (eg. Yosemite National Park, California, United States, North America).  Please look through the below Help Articles for more information:

3. Client Wishlist
Be sure to keep an eye on the Wishlist page, which contains a list of subjects that our clients are currently looking for.  This is updated frequently by the NatureFootage team and the items are sorted by Date.  When enquiring on a Wishlist item please make sure that the Active status is "yes" and that you provide the SFR number.  Whether your footage is online, offline or soon to be shot, let us know!

4. Profile page
The contributor profile page is optimized for search engines.  Updating your profile page will help researchers and producers identify your work within the NatureFootage collection.

Update your profile page with a profile picture, a personal/company bio, and a demo reel to highlight your work.  We also recommend adding Galleries to your profile page to showcase your content.  Please see the below Help Articles for more information regarding these subjects.

5. Survey
To help us better serve our clients, please take a few moments to update us about your current video equipment, subjects and locations by answering a few questions in our Contributor Survey.

6. Submitting Story Ideas for Clients
Our clients are always looking for new story ideas highlighting the best footage segments within the NatureFootage collection, especially those displaying unique or interesting animal behavior.  No one knows the supporting stories behind your footage better than you!  Upload new story segments to your account or help us identify story segments currently in the collection for client consideration in future productions.  Please see the help article below for more information on how to identify and submit story idea segments:
