Clip Status

Clip Status

In Cliplog, you will notice that on the upper left hand corner of your clip thumbnail there is a colored dot.  The specific color of this dot will tell you the current status of your clip.  There are four clip statuses:

OFFLINE
Offline clips are marked with a red dot.  When your footage is first uploaded to Cliplog, by default its status will be offline.  This means that your footage is not visible to clients on our main NatureFootage website, and thus cannot be searched for by clients.  Usually this is because your clip is incompletely logged (please see the help article Basic Log for more information).  Your footage will also be unavailable to clients if you have moved your footage offline via the "Move Offline" option in Cliplog's Actions menu.  For more information, please review the "Buttons & Menus" section of the Intro to Cliplog help article.

ONLINE
Online clips are marked with a green dot.  Your footage will automatically push online once a basic log saved. This means that your footage is visible to clients and available to be licensed on our main website.

OFFLINE CLIENT PREVIEW
Offline Client Preview clips are marked with a yellow dot.  This status is reserved for exceptionally rare footage that NatureFootage staff are sending to specific clients to preview.  Offline Client Preview clips are not visible to any other clients, nor are they searchable or available to license on the main website.  Only NatureFootage admin can update the status of a clip to Offline Client Preview, or change a clip from Offline Client Preview to a different status.

ARCHIVED
Archived clips are marked with a white dot.  This status is usually reserved for footage that has some sort of quality issue.  Archived clips are not visible to any other clients, nor are they searchable or available to license on the main website.  Only NatureFootage admin can archive or unarchive footage in Cliplog.
